| Like I said, it never hurts to double bag for all those lovely 'what if' moments that we could bring up all day, but a well configured hardware firewall is the best individual option there is in my opinion. It also doesn't use system resources, and will work for any computers on the network, irrelevant of OS version. To answer Largo, no, I don't know of any 64bit specific softwar firewalls off the top of my head.
