I just got a message saying my AVG 7.5 would stop being updated...

Went to the site to get 8.0 and there is no free version? wtf?

I dont know had 7.5 for nearly a year and just got 8.0 and ive had maybe 5 alerts ever.

AVG 8.0 it much better than 7.5 (the free ones). I've never had any false virus alerts and been using AVG for nearly 2 years now.

The updater in 7.5 was shit though, it took ages to update and just hung when updating the files. The AVG 8.0 is much better, though.

AVG 8 is still free, just AVG never link the free version from the main site, so google 'avg free'
