Big fuckin LCD
okie, i got the Mrs a new phone for xmas, which just happened to come with a big fuckin LCDtv fuh free

This is my first BFLCD, and i gotta say I'm not impressed so far :| The pic is nowhere near as clear as my old CRT telly, even after an evening of fannyin about with teh settings, much to the Mrs annoyance.

I gather from reading the avforums that the BFLCD ive got is a decent one, for the money, and that lcd's take time to 'bed in' ... and that the pic gets better over a cpl of weeks...are teh ubergeeks over there right or are they talkin kaka?? I mean, ive had loads of lcd monitors over the years and cant say ive ever noticed the quality getting better over a cpl of weeks :|

Thats just what they say to make themselves not look like a right fuckwit cause they have been harping on about how good LCD's were and they arent.

Tbh CRT will always look better than LCD.

Does everything look shite or is it just the normal telly signal that looks bad? I've found that the broadcast telly does look a bit rubbish...I think it's just the size of the screen and the higher resolution which shows up the poor quality of the broadcast a bit more. They look a lot better if you play a DVD through them, and absolutely superb if you play some hi-def stuff on it.

What Ratel says, the quality of the broadcast is of great importance. I got an LCD myself, and some channels are great to look at, and others look like shite.

Get yourself some fucking good quality cable (FGQC), I too suffered from the old pixel screen but I bought me some FGQC and it cleared right up.

Yeah it's the broadcast signal that I'm none too pleased with; I've not actually tried DVD or Wii yet, though I gather they both look vgood ^^

Cables is the first thing on my list to sort; better aerial and scart leads incoming!

the question everyone is missing here is, how much do you spend on phones to get a free big telly, and secondly is the telly of the last generation because it free?

What type and model, there is a great website which tells you all the different stuff you need to tune your telly in right, however I can not find it, have it bookmarked at work if you need it.

lol, showoff mine is nowhere near as good as yours methinks.

We got a Handspree JT01 32" - To get that, it was just a new 18month contract+phone for the Mrs. £30 p/m and she gets loads of bundled mins+texts. She'd spend that amount anyway but liek this we get a free tv It's a standard deal, nowt special because i buy loadsa phones... coz i dont
