| Depends on the manufacturer policy. Some will insure you get no dead or 'stuck' pixels (like yours) at time of purchase. Others will just say FU. From what I can make out, ASUS have an especially customer friendly 'ZBD' (Zero Bright Dot) policy with 30 days ZBD policy at purchase on 'selected models'.

| well apart from the bright pixel i r very impressed games look soo nice.Also no idea why people said the colours were weird. They are to start with but if you cycle through the splendid modes and go back to normal they are great ![]() Just a shame i have to send it back and wait for a new one |

| lol well overclockers responded today saying it isnt considered a fault....... Uh hello pixels are supposed to work properly....if they are stuck there not working thus its a fault... fecking morons. Also the monitor stutters whilst plying games it is really annoying. Think i got a dodgy one.... or one someone has sent back and theyve thrown backout |

| Asus warranty... REGULAR LCD PANEL WARRANTY: IF ANY OF THOSE AFTER 30 DAYS‘ CLAIM MEET FOLLOWING CATEGORY THEN WILL ALLOW TO HAVE LCD PANEL EXCHANGE BUT NOT ZBD GUARANTY: a) OVER 3 BRIGHT DOTS OR 6 BLACK DOTS OR 8 MIXED BRIGHT AND BLACK DOTS IN TOTAL. b) 2 ADJACENT BRIGHT DOTS OR 2 ADJACENT BLACK DOTS. c) 3 BRIGHT AND / OR BLACK DOTS WITHIN AN AREA OF RADIUS 7.5mm. Damn that would piss me off if there were dots. |

| You guys have never heard of stuck pixels? :x You usually find there's a limit to the number they'll issue an RMA for, anything over 3/5.

| Stutters or "tearing" as its known is caused by your refresh rate. Its not a fubar monitor just your hardware is not set correctly. See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tearing And usually 1 dead pixel is not really considered a fault. Its pot luck if you get a clear screen or not (sucks I know) and down to manufacturers warranty if you get a replacement. Seems Asus require you to have 3 bright dead pixels before a replacement is given. There is a method you can try to work out the dead pixel, its not guarenteed but its worth a shot, but I cba to explain it, go google it.

. Its a 2ms response panel. Or atelast it should be. it just stutters fromt ime to time funnily enough i havent noticed it since turning it on today. |

| Are you running with a DVI cable, if you are still using a VGA cable you do get some 'stutter'... |
| ||||
| Yep using the DVI cable I actually tried the vga after i noticed the stutter, the difference in sharpness is quite suprising, with the vga the text was slightly blurred.As i said havent noticed it stuttering much atm maybe it is because the monitors new or something and it was warming up or something lol. |
