Did they reduce the damage reduction lately, so that you now do more damage to your pvp opponents? I think I read some guys going on about that but cant remember where.

Any of you guys still playing got an idea?

Yer, from what ive heard from spying on certain forums is that it makes no difference what uber buffs you have as everyone dies so quickly, i also heard it makes medic/spy DoTs and stuff pointless now as compared to just shooting stuff it takes an age.

I dont care about the general state of the game, selm. At least it is a game where changes happen from time to time. This alone interests me from time to time just to sub back for a month. I would love to get another vet trial, but well, I am now tempted to resub for a month just to mess about for a bit and bash in some heads!

But in general, yes, they are taking few steps back, then one step forward, then 3 back. But maybe they will finally end up back at pre-cu! *ok, not going to happen*

I logged in the other week to check out the beastmaster stuff on test center, but didnt do anything PvP related.

There isnt any PvP reduction now, but given the changes to elite mobs, I would think the NPC's in restuss would be much more of a worry than any player.

I think they reduced it a bit before they patched it in, but I got hit for 12k damage in one second of a level 91 elite stormtrooper on test center.

You know the really funny thing.

Had pub 6 just been beastmaster, I would have played again to have done it.

because Im restricted to an hour here and there anyway, the timers on pet production are meaningless to me.

But they didnt just do that. They upped the damage output and defnece stats on every single mob in the game.

In other words, they nerfed every single player.

And people are applauding them for it.

As said, i got 12k damage in 1 second from a stormtrooper. he did version 1 , 2 and 3 of the same pistol special on me, plus something called a punishing blow (thats 4 hits) in one second.

The upshot is you need a group to take on anything that is higher level than you, or anything that is elite and above around level 80.

There are no people to group with though.

Ive seen hundreds of 'its just like pre cu now' posts be clueless morons on the official boards.

Pre CU wasnt hard. I would guess that 1 - 90 grind now is probably longer than any game out there outside vanguard at the minute.

At a time when most games are reducing the leveliing and adding to the end games.

To be an effective BM, I have to collect the subs for pets off high end mobs. I cant kill said high end mobs (krayts etc) without a group.

I dont have a group, because of past changes to the game, hence I cant be a BM.

Thats why Im not playing.

I suspect Im not alone.

Given what you're saying there it seems like SOE are trying to make people quit. There seems to be something underhanded going on, I've suspected that for quite a while.

I rather think they are just simply inept.

There was, apparently , a poll, in which players said they wanted more challenging PvE.

rather than add in group content to the game, this seems to be the solution.

They are also, I may say, adding in heroic mob group content next publish.

of course, with all current high end content group , and the next publish content group, it doesnt really do much for people who do not belong to one of the 3 or 4 guilds left on each server large enough to form groups any time.

Given the hash job of SWG I'm not sure I want another SWG MMO.
