Just because everyone else uses it doesn't mean it owns everything else silly

If i'm about to produce a movie based from a few fraps captures from a game are you telling me I should switch to mac and get that stuff just because it's the best?

And mac does indeed suck, its nowhere as flexible as a PC is. Imho ofcourse.

where did i say that it's the best scince everybody else uses it? i said it because i know it from my own experience.

i didn't say that you should use that program for your "movies" either - i just spent my 2 cents on the topic of the most recommendable editing programs.

and i would not join the mac/pc fight shit. i know what works better for me depending on the application to use.

lol stoned..sorry, but i work as a professional video artist and you don't have the slightest idea what kind of impact final cut had on the editing industry.

but i don't want to hijack that thread - if u wanna discuss editing solutions make an own thread. adobe premiere and co. are no professional solutions for broadcast and/or cinematic use. just as a hint.

Does it look like anyone except you is using a MAC in here?

Does it look like anyone of us is a 'professional video editing artist' as yourself?

State where in my library theres a movie produced worth several million dollars?

Also i'm pretty curious where your multi million dollar movies are as well

Don't be shy now

i don't know who is using a mac in here. i just said, that final cut for the mac is imo the best editing solution. i don't know what the problem with that is. and that is not only for pros - even for amateurs final cut express is the best i know for amateurs.

some pros still use adobe premiere for really small projects but i never met any pro who said it is good.

where did i claim i made a multi million dollar production? you think "pro" in video editing means multi-million budget? just to let you know: that is not true.

Weird, I was under the impression most of the industry was still using Avid solutions.

Well wise guy, if a movie is a successful production it gains money because people wants to watch it.
Everyone and their cat knows that.

Please enlighten the rest of us 'non professionals' of what final cut can do which sony vegas and adobe premiere cannot do?

which is true but doesn't mean they are the best - this is the moment you maybe understand that i made a total individual statement.

no editing suite had such an impact on the pro market like FCP and made avid change their whole editing system to adapt to FCP.

but this is getting a bit nerdy now.

first of all you should understand that millions of video editors work for broadcasting companies that don't have multi-million dollar budgets. i work for tv and cinema projects and the biggest budget was 10 million scince now. just to satisfy your curiosity about your definition of my status. (now you will call me show-off, i guess).

final cut has a much better workflow when u wanna learn to edit video in many ways. it's whole system works in realtime these days which uses much less rendertime, is much more fluent, works better with the main codecs and can include all sorts of codecs in one single projects. even SD and HD material in one project in realtime which is quite important with the uprising of HDV and similar HD codecs for home-video use.

I can do that in sony video vegas as well.

So that is the marvel of the final cut pro and why you should use a mac to edit a fucking fraps captured movie from a game?

Lol, you're pissing on your own business mate.
