Whats the craic with this Huntelaar fella? I hear he's pretty damned good, but isnt being linked with anybody, that I've heard. Is he injured or just pants?

He;s linked with united actually, he's quite good, the new ruud.. But he needs good people around him to shine. He had an awesome 05-06 season but an average 06-07 season (mostly due to the wank coach of ajax imho).. you can find plenty of youtube vids about him :P

apparently he doesnt want to leave ajax yet as he feels he isnt experienced enough. So might be a season or 2 before he appears anywhere else. Could be a smart and brave thing todo. The temptation to sign for a bigname club and earn alot more money must be big.

Well um, I always considered Ajax to be a big name club tbh ...
Maybe not in recent years though.

Ajax have been a feeder club for years, they just got lucky one year when they had a lot of players to feed to bigger clubs all at the same time!

Ignoring the one in 95, which is the one I refered to where they had a lot of good players that they then sold on, the other 3 champions league wins were 3 in a row at the start of the 70's when they definately were a big team. The Dutch league is, unfortunately, just a feeder league for the bigger spending leagues these days. Which is a shame, as I like the Dutch style of football.
