Scientology has launched a full scale attack against the BBC and in particular the Reporter John Sweeney.

They've flooded Youtube with videos of him going pretty mental, but when you see the situation i honestly couldn't blame him.

I saw the last 15 minutes of documentary about it that was on last night. The scientoligists were a scary bunch. They had people following him 24/7 and spying on him.

When he was conducting interviews with people one of the scientologist dudes would turn up with full dossiers on the person being interviewed with full background info on them going back to their childhood trying to dis-credit them. He would then rant at the reporter for five minutes and then walk off giving the reporter no chance to respond.

They arranged these interviews with famous actresses, Juliette Lewis, Kirsty Allie, who are all scientologists, and then took out a court injunction so they couldn't broadcast the interview.

When the reporter lost his temper at the end I though he was fully justified. The scientologist bloke had a habit of approaching the reporter, ranting at him giving him no chance to respond and would then walk off...it was a pretty effective tactic against a mild mannered english bloke. He didn't really have a choice but to shout at him and override him to get his point across. At least he apologised and had the bottle to broadcast his own outburst in full.

I saw the program. Sweeney did himself no favours whatsoever. I'm totally disappointed in the fact he couldn't hold it together. That being said, if it was me I'd have slugged that Tommy Whatisname... a more annoying cunt does not exist.

Scientologists are brainwashed nuts and they showed as much on the prog.

It did make me chuckle though that all the celebs who were quizzed about Xenu, pulled funny faces and apparently denied it. lol

As Ive said a few times before, I agree on the organised religion thing, but I do also respect other peoples right to beleive in the stuff, I only get annoyed when they shove it in my face.

However, Scientology doesnt fall into this catagory.

Hubbard was a science fiction writer, and a poor one at that.

What this is is basically the equivalent of some people claiming that because Lucas wrote about jedi, its a real religion.

The only difference is that because some doped up, mentally unstable celebs say its good in the US, it suddenly becaomes a valid belief , not the total bullcrap it actually is.

The whole scientology phenonomenon says more about the US culture , its hero worship of anyone they tag the word 'celeb' onto, and the willingness to blindly accept anything that these ill educated , egotistical ignoramuses actually say is worthy of attention.

Celebs opinions are more valid than scientists.

The result, faux religion based on alien body swaps and the wait for the returning host is suddenly credible , and that purile grinning prick Tom cruise's barely cohesive rants about medication are somehow taken seriously.

Dont ever feel sorry for a Reporter, he's had worse no doubt.

To be honest though, you could see it coming, we only saw 30 mins of the 'harrassment' he'd been there for days so you could see him ready to explode.

Im not against anyone believing in what they want to believe in, but the fact that they seem so mob-handed in how they push people around is insane. That Tommy guy obviously does that alot.

Id have firstly pressed charges against the police officer for common assault.

File a complaint at the state courts, to avoid local scientology bias, as that was as clear as you will ever see of a corrupt local police force.

I would then take legal action against all 3 for harrasment, intimidation and slander. If the little short dude who thought he was a hard man was actually a church spokesman, as he seemed to be, I would sue the Church itself for claiming I was a child molestor.

Good $100 million right there.

The only thing the church exists for is making money. The only way to hurt it iis to cost it money.
