I just got a mail from them, theyve reactivated my EQ (original) account and I can download the whole game (including every add on released) for free to try it apparently.

This is 3 months after I got free swg play for a month as well.

Perhaps if they, you know, stopped dicking up the games I happily paid for, they wouldnt have to offer freebies to try and get me back.

I see the problem..WOWs shite IMO couldnt care less if it gives out free blow jobs tbh i just wish SOE would stop trying to copy it and leave EQ2 as it was around the time of EOF,for me that was MMO heaven

Plus stags are so 2003,crocodiles are the new stags tbh

EQ2 I'd imagine currently has a playerbase that like the game as it is, all SOE are gonna probably end up doing is another NGE where not only will the changes not attract any new players but they'll make all the current ones leave too.

i like EQ2, but the two EU servers only have a light load, and the american ones are all light except two, which are only medium. So like you guys say, its just dead!

ROK the last expansion was fucking woeful once you got past how nice it looked and frankly i'm in a holding pattern to see how good/bad the next one will be becuase if its anything like ROK then i'm done with the game and given i've played it more than any other MMO i've tried i'd be sad to leave

I couldnt care if WOW's the biggest MMO in the world,its still a pile of shit in my eyes,after all the being the biggest doesnt make it the best you only have to look at the Sims in that regard.

And trust me Crocs are fuckign everywhere in EQ2 they've gone Croc happy adding them in places they dont need to be.

I think I've said many times over that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Irrelevant of however wrong it is.

Saying "It's too much like WoW" really doesn't come across as a bad thing to me or a lot of other people around here, that was my point. Without some explanation on what exactly is the bad thing it's just a lazy stab at other people's opinions, exactly what you just accused me of.

What Stoneh explained above was horrifying because he actually did it clearly, eloquently and without taking a swipe at anyone elses opinions (The last being the most shocking revelation of all).

I don't mind what you do or don't like, the world would be a boring place if we all liked the same things, just make a valid point not reuse the tired old 'it's like wow' argument.

Not that long if I recall correctly but he's seen Mrs Dawy playing it a LOT, so he's perfectly entitled to say if he likes it or not as he's had plenty of exposure to the game.

Oh im not having a dig, more of a general pondering. As you guys know I was WoWs biggest emo hater back in the day - even when I started playing it I didnt like it.

Now its the best MMO out there now ive experienced it a bit more, and probably will be for the next coming years.
