Been in the beta for a few weeks and all i can say its fucking awesome.

The gameworld is huge and i mean huge artwork simply stunning plenty to see and do for the next 12 months or so

Downsides..bit buggy,useless unless you're lvl 67+ but otherwise is another great expansion for EQ2

The NDA is down now so hopefully they will stop dicking about and let us take screenshots of it bloody annoying that i cant post a couple of piccys enjoying the wide vistas that you can view.

I love great graphics as much as anyone, but all in all, if the gameplay isnt there, it doesnt matter how good it looks. A bit like LOTRO imo.

As for LoTR the graphics in that game came from d&d online granted a bit tarted up but same engine just a shame the games a dull as fucking dicthwater imo,but horses for courses i say

I don't admit it to many people but I tried one of the 7 day free trial things a couple of months back. I was some kinda fairy thing (like RL). The game seemed to play better than it used to, it guided the player better, I just didn't really take to the world and environment so much.

Think you misunderstood me Dawy, I played EQ2 for a year and a half and loved it. In the end I got bored and quit. It was LOTRO that I got problems with.

Ive given up looking for that elusive great game, i just play wow cause my guild is a great bunch of cunts and its fun to pass the time. Ive pretty much given up on any game ever being "excellent" anymore .

Why would I try it again when the combat system is the same?

Fixing bugs and stopping everyone from spending 5 months leveling on scarecrows doesn't change the fact the combat system sucked.

I have stopped playing LOTRO (again) btw as there is next to nothing to do once you get to level 47+ (max level is 50) sure you can do instances and stuff, but all the armour you loot looks like a pile of crap. Money well spent just looking at the water in evendim tbh
