Tranks, as you have got far higher in the game than anyone i know, what is the end game like? What do you aim for once you have got to level 50 now? Do you still have a great urge to play it as much?

I am having a bit of a mid-MMO crisis atm and i'm starting to lose a bit of enthusiasm for it. Don't get me wrong i do find it fun, but really.. what is there to do once you reach the lofty heights of level 50?

The pvp seems somewhat odd i must say.

Cant see much about it on the codemasters forums.

i wonder when the companies notice that there are far better possibilities in the mmo system than stupid levelling..

I have a habit of playing every class i can get my hands on, to about mid-level to try them out before deciding what i would really like to be. Unfortunately unlike WoW, you cant really make your character a hybrid style class. (shadow preist,fury warrior etc) you dont have much ability to customise your play style.
Sure you could go for tons of vitality on a champion and carry a shield, but you'll still suck balls in comparison to a guardian with reguards to tanking and vici versa.

Another thing that made me thinnk about the game was the events on saturday. They were complete lagfests that crashed zones.(except the shire music event)
maybe this is a bit harsh and i should really be blaming the good turn out that they got.

Why don't you take a long break from MMOs. You'll soon realise that they're all pretty much the same and all pretty much suck donkey balls once you're not addicted.

its the usualy stuff you do when hitting max lvl in a mmo... after that theres only collecting items.

i dont know about the wow end game instaces/areas, but from what ive seen of lotro and my first experience with the first endgame instance urugarth (uruk town and one dragon boss) i quite like it.
its huge, looks nice, has a wide range of mobs(takes about 3-4 hours to finish completely) and without knowing what to do in there you wont get through it. then there is a 20 item table for that instance which randomly drops.

thats the only end-game stuff ive done so far. there is a lot more to do around carn dum,5 raid areas and 3 instances. it might be a bit hard for me to find decent groups for that, as its starting with guild groups now... little chance for me to get in that.

i just hope that codemasters is really implementing way more areas for the game as its starting to get boring.. for me at least without a kinship to roam around with. and im not really into creating another char and grinding it up again.

i don't know too much about wow. i didnt like the atmosphere so i qut playing it pretty fast but i heard form a lot of people that it is pretty limited after you are full-levelled. that's why i said it sounded like a wowish problem to me.
