Around 3 hours, I got pissed off in wales and found the nearest pub then the 3 hour return seemed like 20 minutes ;D

They do, no chance they'd let you off the fine for you getting on the wrong train, it's your own fault and obviously not an emergency, Sko did the right thing.

I was talking to the driver of the train and asking him if he would just let us off, but he'd get into trouble (possibly suspended) and I'd get fined.

i did something similar once but luckily i could get off the train 10 minutes down the line. ended up waiting 3 hours for the next train home but hey, at least i didnt have to go to wales

Yeh, got a train back.
Was at least 4am, no one was checking tickets and there was like 5 people in total on the train including the driver lol :/
