Do any of you know of a way that I can sync an ipod up to more than 1 PC without itunes wiping the ipod of its music the second time I try and sync it up? or maybe a way I can get the songs off the ipod without using the itunes its synced up to?

You can authorize iTunes on second machine to play your purchased content. This will download legit stuff from your iPod and synch it with the second computer. Non-legit stuff doesn't synch smoothly.

First time you plug in an ipod to a new machine it won't auto wipe it, you get asked stuff first.

Yeah its pretty much all legit stuff so that shouldnt be a prob. And thats good to know it asks you now, in older versions it didn't give much of a warning as far as I can remember.

If you go to "store" on your PC menu you can authorise/de-auth a PC.
Not sure if that menu is correct on a PC tho as I use a mac

There's a cool program called ephpod EphPod - iPod for Windows (and Linux) :: HOME, let's you transfer music on/off the ipod like a normal mp3 player. God I hate Apple so much, I get angry just writing about iPods! If you're not getting a warning that it's gonna wipe the your iPod you need to go into the sync settings I think and change some options or something. Can't really remember but it only ever warns you once if you click the wrong button. But I'd fuck itunes off and just use ephpod or some other freeware.

Oh and I don't know if you knew already but if you ever want to delete pictures off the damn thing you have to sync the iPod's images folder with an empty folder on your PC. That's a little trick I like to share as it never actually tells you this in any of the instructions. There's probably some freeware that does that properly too, though I've never looked.

the older versions did use to just auto sync and wipe without warning........ was very annoying. Personally id say get something other than an ipod. There are various programs that can bodge it tho as people have stated.

Dont see why you should have to do that in the first place just a stupid implementation by apple.

I love my iPod, iTunes and my Macbook Pro. <3

very hefty especially when you consider they only come with a 1 year warranty!

Can build an alienware cheaper and add on the 3 year warranty . Although i consider alienware to be overpriced aswell....only problem is they have the wonderfull illuminated backlit keyboard and other gadgetry, which you can change colours on the fly...... very pwetty.

Alot of people at work always complain that they should have macbooks as they are quicker..... if we spent over £800 on laptops they would be quicker aswell! Shame we
only spend about £300 .

Not to mention the daft fucks wouldnt know how to use the things anyway and would demand we teach them.
