I went for a lie down at about 9:30 last night and I've just woken up about 10 minutes ago at 8:00 am. Anyone else feel awful after having too much sleep?

I sleep too much. At a certain point, the longer i stay in bed the more I want to stay in bed even longer!

Then I realize i have wasted the entire day and go emo!

I just wondered if anyone else wakes up with a horrible groggy feeling and a headache if they get too much sleep. I never lie in, even at weekends, because of the headache.

I think the headache might be caused because of dehydration more than anything.

and yes, i get it a lot.

Happens to me a fair bit.

The headache might be due to apnea. You basically stop breathing for short periods whilst you are asleep, the oxygen deprivation gives you a headache and you feel knackered throughout the day.

i find that only happens if i havent taken a glass of water with me to bed.

I can sleep for long periods usually without much trouble....unless ive been out drinking the night before......

That's called a hangover.

I feel fine after a long sleep, generally I only get 3-4 hours of sleep a night so when I do have a long sleep I feel great after.
