| A Good C/C++ Text Editor and Compiler Im going to try and have a go at some C and C++ coding but since i have never used this language before i don't really know of any decent text editors or compilers for it. so if anyone has some experience with this language and could recommend a good text editor and compiler then i would be great full. Thanks.      |

| If you're after an IDE Microsoft offers a free version of Visual Studio for download. Eclipse is also very good and also free, you can get this from IBM. A Google search should turn up both of those. If you're literally just after a compiler and a text editor, can't go wrong with gcc and vim...not advisable for the beginner though.
