Think i only played the 2nd one, and although good the game engine was so shit it bought the whole thing down really.

Don't compare the 2nd one with the first one! deus ex 2 is horrible, it's nothing like the first part. The first part is godlike and it has the best storyline in any game ive played!

Deus Ex 2 was shite. I remember being so dissapointed but had to play on incase it got better. More dissapointment.

System Shock 2 is fucking awesome as well, as was Fallout 1 & 2 which I tried to get working the other day. Didnt work.

In its time it was fucking scary as hell..and as my suggestion to this "retro" games thread might i suggest Clive Barkers Undying another creepy game,one best played with the lights out.
