This has the be the most retarded system known to mankind.

So yesterday I fill in the online form, all is going well, then after completing it, it says I have to call them in 24 hours to finish setting it up.

So ignoring the plain stupidity of having to phone in to set up internet banking, I give them a call today, go through all the security question bollocks, and what does the guy say?

"We'll send you your login details through the post, they should arrive within the next couple of days."

I think all of em do it like that - I was amazed when I set mine up - makes it sound like you can have it setup in 10 mins - it actually took well over a week until I logged in.

Yeh it's shite, I didn't bother when they said we'll send your login details by post.

Shows how much trust they have in their security systems.

And told me it'll send me my details and they should arrive in the post within 3 days.

Seriously, give up, it's quicker to actually go to the bank and sort it out than use the internet service.

Or change bank to one that knows the difference between its arse and its elbow.

Once its working its actually a godsend. I can now check to see if i have enough money in for a beer at weekend, instead of finding out whilst round town that I dont have any \o/

Lloyds TSB internets banking is the dog's bollocks. All the telephone and mail systems are in place for security reasons. Do you want some random wank-stain opening up bank accounts in your name? No I don't think you do sonny Jim!

Once it's all set up it's super sweet! Pay bills (as easy as entering the company you're paying to and your account number), transfer money in seconds, set up a savings account in seconds, take out a loan without even needing to phone or mail, set up standing orders...it's just so cool. Ideal for someone who never leaves the house too! lolz

I'm not opening a bank account though, I'm activating internet banking, a service that's advertised as quick, convenient, internet based etc blah blah on my existing account, and I can't even use the internet to set it up fully.

It just strikes me as a hilarious system since it's a damn sight harder for someone to break their way into my PC, hack my email or tap my phone to get my login info than it is to steal a letter...
