how does it match up and what fps would I be getting with a 1g of ram and a 3.2 processor? I used to run a geforce 6600gt and want to know how it compares

the 6600gt is a 8 pipeline card running at 500MHz, the x850 is a 16 pipeline card running at 400MHz, so a 60% increase in FPS should be in order.

The Nvid option would be a 7600GT, 12 pipes and 580 MHz, this slightly beats the x850 but costs a little more too.....

Those are "decent" cards, all ranging around 130 (without shipping). For 130 you're better off saving - wait until you've got 200 and you can get a real nice card.

it's a decent card for low price, I'd go for it, but don't buy it for a few days, because the sale stays on.

If that's your price range and you need one ASAP, I'd go for it.
