with the sale of my house, am going to buy a new pc, seen one from cube i quite like the look off and should (all being well) last me 3-4 years.
However, i was wondering if anyone had any words of input, or other sites that sell decent pc packages.

Ram = Bad, should be ddr2 800.
Hdd = C:\ drive should be fast, not a slow ass 1tb. That's fine for storage but I'd want something fast, like a raptor.
Add soundcard.
Doesn't say what PSU it has in the description but the option below has a 600w. I really suggest adding that, implies the one in it already is a piece of shit. Then I'd upgrade to a better one after you get the computer.
Get a webcam too, record yourself dancing naked and post it here.

too much memory? thought 8k would be good especially with vista already stealing 1k

hdd is 1tb aye, have 250gb in my other pc i am thinking about transferring out, save me reinstalling wow and shit, but will see, using old pc for the kids and family stuff so the bigger hdd will be handy there

your wasting his money if your telling him to first upgrade to the 600w psu on there and then buy another one and replace it when he gets this pc....

I didn't say too much memory, never enough memory. I said shit memory, 800 > 667.

You'll need to format that 250gb anyway. All the new hardware will need to be installed and all the old hardware already be installed will need to be uninstalled which would just be annoying. Just copy all the files you need onto something else (I'd use an external hdd, but I donno what you have) and put them back later. Obviously install WoW first then copy the files over so you don't need to wait for patches.

Two 8800gt's and a quad core will most likely rape any small psu. Then whatever he wants added after that. It might even be a 400w in it, wouldn't even boot.
Unless he gets a better psu before the computer arrives, that'd make sense.

Any modern PC minimum 550w imo. I got 620w for my badass time-travelling invincible PC.

Id recommend one of the 600w+ corsairs or ocz PSUs.

It probably would have most likely been RAID 0, as most manufacturers usually put the 1TB storage as two 500GB ones. So being RAID 0 means it would be faster than a single Raptor.

But then he's not getting it now, so it doesn't really matter.

Raptors are a waste of time and sound like their namesake.

IMO this is the worst place to post about your PC - some of this lot would even pick fault with NASA's PC's

To be fair NASA PC's tend to have crappy graphics cards, game performance wouldn't be so good.
