would finnaly mean i get to make use of my HD tv lol..... however i was also thinking about waiting for the 3870X2 cards and getting one of those as a present to moi instead.

what do you guys think of that drive a good deal or not ?

aye i thought for what it does the price is great and the reviews on it have all been very good.

Id pay the extra £12 to get it from scan because of their customer service tbh.

well they kinda pissed me off when they sent through a quote at work for systems that didnt actually exist and when i phoned them up they had no clue what systems i was talking about.....

But tbh why would you write to hd when you can use blu-ray which is bigger anyway.

Granted if your thinking of copying ...uhh i mean.... backing up your hd movies it might be useful.

I was just wondering if there was some special reason, like it's not possible to write HD-DVDs or something. But now you mention it, it would be pretty pointless writing them instead of Blu-Rays anyway.

considering the asus blue disc player costs £150 and doesn't burn or read hd id say for £30 more its worth it plus, you have the option of burning in the future taggeh when media prices drop

Besides a nice BD-RE for £9 isnt to bad. Tho i admit i wouldnt be to worried about burning just yet, would be nice to finnally get some use out of my HD TV tho .

and LGs non writer version costs £142 so really i wouldnt mind having the option of burning in future plus speeds for ddv etc arent bad either.

watch them through comp with some cables and its perfect, never need to find cds and shit... tis all where i need it

My external drive is 400gb.

Plenty enough to store a crap load of movies and TV shows then stream them to my TV.
