| Abercrombie and Fitch If there are any of you out there who are fashion victims pondering purchasing from the newly opened london store, or the new UK specific website , a word of advice. Save some cash. My godson wanted some of this stuff for birthday/christmas type presents, and I was quite frankly shocked at the UK prices, having seen what this stuff costs in the US. Anyway, they have actually blocked uk customers from purchasing from the US website (prices are roughly half the uk costs) , so I did a little digging. Got to www.hollisterco.com , which is the same clothes made in the sam eplace, just different logo (not a con, hollister is acknowledged as part of A&F) , and you can order from there at US prices. Ive just had a $220 plus $50 postage (£130) order delivered here that would have cost me somewhere around £280 - £300 from the A+F UK site. Plus, I never got charged any import duty or vat, which would have been around £30 tops anyway. Last edited by Voblat; 11-01-2007 at 01:40 PM. |

| Imagine a really gay looking American preppy kid. Voila, you're probably looking at someone in Abercrombie and Fitch.

| That stuff is between $5 (hats and stuff) to around $30 for the sweaters and such. A ton of it is made in the sweatshops here, and like most 'western' products, a fuckload of it falls off the back of said sweatshops... Guess I should buy a ton for gifts for people when I come to England for a holiday.

I got a gift card for a similar clothing-brand (American Eagle) once for like $50 and managed to get a shirt and a pair of shorts and I still had to pay the remainder in cash. |

| Also lol @ a kid actually ASKING for clothing for his birthday... I was always one of those kids who tore apart the wrapping looking for toys and tossing the clothes my grandma always got me aside |

The hoody thing has double taped seams which apparently makes them very hard wearing. (Wife knows these things) And Buck , in the UK currently, the hoody's are £80 , jeans and combats £60 - £80 , tshrts at £40 . The US site shows them at less than that in dollars, so the uk site is probably 2.5 times the cost. So if you get some, well worth bringing them back. |

I agree though they are finely made... But I am not paying the equivalent of what, $80 for a Tshirt |
