| bought this one: Sony Vaio FZ11S I know it is not the fastest for gaming and it is a little bit expensive when you compare it to other models but it has the best display on the market, which is very important for me and fits for all my needs. it is ok for gaming.

| id say the samsung r20 is an absolute bargain at £400-£600 the only thing it would lack for you is the screen size (and perhaps gaming). So you could go for the r70 which comes with a 15.4 inch widescreen display at 1680x1050 (or 1280x800 depending on which model/screen you go for) res and dx10 graphics. Only one type available atm it would seem but other models should appear at some point. http://www.samsung.com/uk/products/m...?page=Features http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx...520000,50 429 as i said only version available here from what i can see atm is with the t7100 processor, but samsung site lists all the possible configurations. there is another r70 listed on dabs but doesnt include much spec. It has xppro and 2gbs of ram...other than that no idea what the rest is lol. Thats about another £100. Id personally wait for the other models in this r70 range. | If you want a desktop replacement system, how about the HP Pavilion Media Center dv9341eu http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/uk/en...-80170833.html (costs £729.99 inc vat at Dabs http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx...0000,378910000) If you want to play games on a laptop, the biggest problem is going to be the gfx card, but the link above comes with a Geforce 7600 so will play alything like WoW at full res, (that is 17" WXGA+), newer games may be an issue... |

| That didn't come out well... If was be editing MY post - as what I posted first time ended up being total bull... Higgs or Wharry will understand |

| http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/nbrange.html?ALP Alpha N T7200 I have pretty much the same one from Rock but Novatech is cheaper. The higher resolution screen is nice for working on, 2 pages on screen at once, you will struggle to run the latest games at the native res though. 17" is just starting to get a little heavy to lug around.

| Or how about you spend £350 on a lappy that will allow you to do your work and play WoW (OK it's not a super high res screen!) http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...uct_uid=126329 And leave £650 for booze - sounds like a winner for me... |

| Are you SURE you want a lappy BTW - the same price desktop PC will be 3 x as powerful |
